Jersey Law 7/1967 FAMILY ALLOWANCES (AMENDMENT No. 3) (JERSEY) LAW, 1967. ____________ A LAW to amend the Family Allowances (Jersey) Law, 1951, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the 24th day of MAY, 1967. ____________ ( Registered on the 23 rd day of June , 1967). ____________ STATES OF JERSEY. ____________ The 10th day of January, 1967. ____________ T HE STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law : - ARTICLE 1 (1) In Article 1 of the Family Allowances (Jersey) Law, 1951, 1 as amended (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Law”) for the definition “apprentice” there shall be substituted the following definition – “ ‘apprentice’ means a person undergoing full-time training for any trade, business, profession, office, employment or vocation, who is not in receipt of earnings exceeding such weekly amount as shall be prescribed, calculated or estimated in such manner and on such basis as shall be prescribed ;”. (2) In paragraph (2) of Article 18 of the principal Law 2 after the words “No order shall be made under” there shall be inserted the words “Article 1 or”. ARTICLE 2 This Law may be cited as the Family Allowances (Amendment No. 3) (Jersey) Law, 1967, and this Law and the Family Allowances (Jersey) Laws, 1951 to 1958 may be cited together as the Family Allowances (Jersey) Laws, 1951 to 1967.
