Animal Welfare (Amendment) (Jersey) Law 2006 A LAW to amend the Animal Welfare (Jersey) Law 2004 Adopted by the States 1st November 2005 Sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council 14th February 2006 Registered by the Royal Court 3rd March 2006 THE STATES , subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law – 1 Article 22 of the Animal Welfare (Jersey) Law 2004 amended In Article 22 of the Animal Welfare (Jersey) Law 2004 [1] – (a) paragraph (2) shall be deleted; (b) after paragraph (4) there shall be inserted the following paragraph - (4A) An inspector shall not discharge any function or exercise any power under this Law on or in relation to premises to which an application for a licence, or a licence, relates if the application is for a licence to authorize, or the licence authorizes, any activity described in Article 14(2) or 15 which is also undertaken by the inspector personally, by the inspector’s employer or by a person of whom the inspector is an office holder.”. 2 Citation and commencement This Law may be cited as the Animal Welfare (Amendment) (Jersey) Law 2006 and shall come into force on the same day as Article 22 of the Animal Welfare (Jersey) Law 2004. a.h. harris Deputy Greffier of the States [1] L.27/2004
