Jersey Law 8/1957 COINAGE ACT 1957 ____________ AN ACT authorizing the issue of mixed metal coinage of a denominational value not exceeding twenty-five thousand pounds, sanctioned by the Order of Her Majesty in Council of the ____________ 29th day of APRIL, 1957. ____________ (Registered on the 4th day of May, 1957). ____________ STATES OF JERSEY. ____________ The 14th day of February, 1957. ____________ T HE STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have resolved as follows: - 1. The Finance Committee 1 is hereby authorized to issue mixed metal coinage of a denominational value not exceeding twenty-five thousand pounds. 2. Coins issued in pursuance hereof shall be of a denomination of one quarter of a shilling and shall be issued under the direction of the Finance Committee 1 which shall determine the design, weight and composition thereof. 1 Committee now referred to as the Finance and Economics Committee (R & O 5140).
