Jersey Law 8/1993 AIRPORT DUES (AMENDMENT No. 2) (JERSEY) LAW 1993 ____________ A LAW to amend further the Airport Dues (Jersey) Law 1956, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the 10th day of MARCH 1993 ____________ (Registered on the 7th day of May 1993) ____________ STATES OF JERSEY ____________ The 11th day of November 1992 ____________ T HE STATES , subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law – ARTICLE 1 The Airport Dues (Jersey) Law 1956, as amended 1 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Law”), shall be further amended by substituting for the words “Airport Commandant” in each place where they occur the words “Airport Director”. ARTICLE 2 Paragraph (3) of Article 3 of the principal Law shall be deleted. ARTICLE 3 In Article 4 of the principal Law for the words “fifty pounds” there shall be substituted the words “five hundred pounds”. ARTICLE 4 In Article 5 of the principal Law – (a) for the heading there shall be substituted the following heading – “EXEMPTIONS AND REDUCTIONS.”; and (b) for paragraph (2) there shall be substituted the following paragraph – “(2) Where dues are payable under this Law, the Committee may, in the case of any particular aircraft, where it is of opinion that it should properly do so – (a) exempt the aircraft from the payment of a due or dues; or (b) reduce the amount of a due or dues.”. ARTICLE 5 In Article 8 of the principal Law for the words after “he shall be liable” there shall be substituted the words “to a fine not exceeding two thousand pounds or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both such fine and imprisonment.”.
