Jersey Law 11/2000 FIREARMS (AMENDMENT) (JERSEY) LAW 2000 ___________ A LAW t o amend the Firearms (Jersey) Law 2000; sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the 15th day of MARCH 2000 ____________ (Registered on the 31st day of March 2000) ____________ STATES OF JERSEY ____________ The 18th day of January 2000 ____________ T HE STATES , subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law – ARTICLE 1 In Article 15 of the Firearms (Jersey) Law 2000 1 (in this Law called “the principal Law”) – (a) in paragraph (2) for the words “the prescribed form and –” there shall be substituted the words “the prescribed form and, subject to paragraph (2A) –”; (b) after paragraph (2) there shall be inserted the following paragraph – “(2A) Before granting or refusing to grant an approval or varying or withdrawing an approval the Committee shall consult the Comité des Connétables.”. ARTICLE 2 In Article 38 of the principal Law 2 after the words “for life” there shall be added the words “, or to both”. ARTICLE 3 In paragraph (1) of Article 39 of the principal Law 2 after the words “for life” there shall be added the words “, or to both”. ARTICLE 4 In paragraph (1) of Article 40 of the principal Law 3 after the words “fourteen years” there shall be added the words “, or to both”.
