Jersey Law 12/2000 PARISH RATE (ADMINISTRATION) (AMENDMENT No. 10) (JERSEY) LAW 2000 ____________ A LAW to amend further the Parish Rate (Administration) (Jersey) Law 1946; sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the 15th day of MARCH 2000 ____________ (Registered on the 31st day of March 2000) ____________ STATES OF JERSEY ____________ The 8th day of February 2000 ____________ T HE STATES , subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law – ARTICLE 1 For paragraphs (1) and (2) of Article 7 of the Parish Rate (Administration) (Jersey) Law 1946, as amended 1 (in this Law called “the principal Law”), there shall be substituted the following paragraphs – “(1) There shall be an assessment committee for each parish. (2) An assessment committee shall have five members except in the case of the parish of Saint Helier where the assessment committee shall have twelve members.”. ARTICLE 2 After paragraph 3 of the First Schedule to the principal Law 2 there shall be inserted the following paragraph – “3A. The quorum at a meeting of an assessment committee shall be determined by the committee but shall be at least 3 members.”.
