Jersey Law 14/1985 GAMBLING (AMENDMENT No. 2) (JERSEY) LAW, 1985 ____________ A LAW to amend further the Gambling (Jersey) Law, 1964, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the 20th day of march , 1985 ____________ (Registered on the 19th day of April, 1985). ____________ STATES OF JERSEY ____________ The 16th day of October, 1984. ____________ T HE STATES , subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council have adopted the following Law: - ARTICLE 1 In Article 8 of the Gambling (Jersey) Law, 1964, 1 as amended (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Law”) after the word “wins” there shall be inserted the words “or attempts to win”. ARTICLE 2 In paragraph (4) of Article 11 of the principal Law 2 – (a) for the words “two hundred and fifty pounds” there shall be substituted the words “two thousand pounds”; and (b) the words “not exceeding five hundred pounds” shall be deleted.
