Jersey Law 27/1960 PRESERVATION OF AMENITIES (AMENDMENT No. 2) (JERSEY) LAW, 1960. ____________ A LAW to amend the Preservation of Amenities (Jersey) Law, 1952, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the 26th day of OCTOBER 1960. ____________ ( Registered on the 19 th day of November , 1960). ____________ STATES OF JERSEY. ____________ The 31st day of March, 1960. ____________ T HE STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law : - ARTICLE 1 (1) In Article 1 of the Preservation of Amenities (Jersey) Law, 1952, 1 as amended 2 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Law”), after the definition of “contravention” there shall be inserted the definition – “ ‘disused vehicle’ means anything constructed for use as a vehicle or as part of a vehicle (including wheeled or tracked equipment) which is not normally being so used and whether or not it is capable of being so used ;” and for the definition of “dump” there shall be substituted the definition – “ ‘dump’ includes any rubbish, rubble, refuse or other material;”. (2) In sub-paragraph ( d ) of paragraph (1) of Article 7 of the principal Law, 3 after the word “dump” there shall be inserted the words “or a disused vehicle (not being a caravan)”. ARTICLE 2 In Article 4 of the principal Law, 4 after the word “industrialization” there shall be inserted the words “or commercialization” and after the words “residential areas,” there shall be inserted the words “the desirability of restricting the placing of advertisements and hoardings in such a manner as to be visible from roads and other public places,”. ARTICLE 3 (1) This Law may be cited as the Preservation of Amenities (Amendment No. 2) (Jersey) Law, 1960, and this Law and the Preservation of Amenities (Jersey) Laws, 1952 and 1954, may be cited together as the Preservation of Amenities (Jersey) Laws, 1952 to 1960.
