THE PLANTS (IMPORTATION AND EXPORTATION) LAW (1997 REVISION) THE PLANTS (IMPORTATION AND EXPORTATION) (FEES) REGULATIONS, 2009 The Plants (Importation and Exportation) (Fees) Regulations, 2009 2 The Plants (Importation and Exportation) (Fees) Regulations, 2009 CAYMAN ISLANDS THE PLANTS (IMPORTATION AND EXPORTATION) LAW (1997 REVISION) THE PLANTS (IMPORTATION AND EXPORTATION) (FEES) REGULATIONS, 2009 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Plants (Importation and Exportation) Law (1997 Revision), the Governor in Cabinet makes the following regulations - 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Plants (Importation and Exportation) Citation (Fees) Regulations, 2009. 2. The fees to be charged, in respect of matters arising under or provided for or Fees authorised by the Law, are prescribed in the Schedule. SCHEDULE (Regulation 2) FEES 1. Single Import Permit in respect of - (a) commercially packaged or $10 per entry certified seed (b) produce for consumption $20 per entry (c) cut flowers, foliage or certified $30 per entry seed (d) plants, including propagative $100 per entry material (e) balled and burlapped trees or $100 per plant container plants over 40 gallon size 3 The Plants (Importation and Exportation) (Fees) Regulations, 2009 2. Multiple Import Permit (valid from 1st July to 30th June of the year in which the permit is issued) in respect of - (a) commercially packaged or $150 per year certified seed (b) produce for consumption $500 per year (c) cut flowers, foliage or certified $750 per year seed 3. Phytosanitary Certificate $30 per certificate 4. (1) The following fees are payable as Inspection Fees, in respect of an inspection by an officer of the Department of Agriculture at the place of import or export, other than the airport and airport cargo warehouse - (a) during normal working hours $35 per inspection officer per hour or part thereof (b) outside of normal working hours $45 per inspection officer per hour or part thereof (c) for a call-out inspection outside $90 per inspection officer for of normal working hours the first hour and $45 per hour or part thereof, thereafter (d) for a call-out inspection on a $120 for the first hour per Sunday or a public general inspection officer and $60 holiday per hour or part thereof, thereafter (2) In this paragraph, “normal working hours” means the period commencing at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m. on any day other than a Sunday or a public general holiday.
