This Law may be cited as the Judges Emoluments and Allowances Law Short title (2006 Revision). 2. (1) The Chief Justice and the other Judges of the Grand Court shall be Salaries, etc. paid annual salaries, pensions and other allowances and emoluments from dates and in accordance with scales to be prescribed, from time to time, by Order by the Governor acting in his discretion. (2) The Public Service Pensions Board, established under section 5 of the Public Service Pensions Law (2004 Revision), shall be responsible for the 2004 Revision general administration of pensions under this Law, and the Governor, may by Order, regulate such administration by the Board. (3) Without derogating from the generality of subsection (2), an order made under subsection (2) may contain provisions which are retrospective in effect and may provide for - (a) the powers and duties of the Board under this Law; (b) the establishment of a pension fund; (c) the calculation of benefits; (d) the correction of mistakes in administering pensions; (e) communications to participants; (f) accounts, book-keeping and reporting; and (g) actuarial valuation.
