About this statute
This is the preamble to the 3 September 1879 law on railway cessions or alienations. Railway companies may not transfer concession lines unless the Government approves. If there is a breach of the previous article, the Government may order the rail line to be administered by the railway department for the company’s account. The Government may end the measure by returning the operation to the company; if the company disputes the contravention, it may go to court over its private interests. The law becomes mandatory the day after its publication.
