Section 3 shall be replaced with the following: 3 In order to apply, a completed Application Form should be submitted with a copy of the candidate’s Curriculum Vitae and references (if any) in English. 2. Section 4 shall be replaced with the following: 4 As a minimum, the following standards will be considered by MIAC in admitting a person to the Register of Arbitrators. For the Primary Panel of Arbitrators: i. A tertiary educational qualification and at least ten (10) years of professional experience in the field of practice; ii. Demonstrate substantial experience in international arbitration; iii. Confirm that the candidate has not been found guilty of a criminal offence; iv. Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators or recommended by a Fellow or has drafted at least one (1) international arbitral award. For the Secondary List of Arbitrators: i. A tertiary educational qualification and at least ten (10) years of professional experience in the field of practice; 1 ްޓެޒެގ ެގުރާކުރަސިހެވިދ 94 :ުދަދައ 49 :ްމުއިލޮވ ii. Demonstrate knowledge and experience of international arbitration at an interview conducted by the Board of MIAC or a designated Committee; iii. Confirm that the candidate has not been found guilty of a criminal offence; iv. Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators or recommended by a person who is a Fellow or the candidate has acted as counsel or co- counsel in at least one hearing in an international arbitration. ___________________________ 2
