Other privileges SCHEDULE 4 Laws of Malaysia ACT 374 Timbalan Yang Di-Pertuan Agong (Remuneration) 5 LAWS OF MALAYSIA Act 374 TIMBALAN YANG DI-PERTUAN AGONG (REMUNERATION) ACT 1958 An Act to make provision for the remuneration of the Timbalan Yang di-Pertuan Agong or other Ruler authorized by law to exercise the functions of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. [22 March 1958] Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Timbalan Yang di-Pertuan Agong (Remuneration) Act 1958. Payment to Timbalan Yang di-Pertuan Agong or other Ruler authorized to exercise the functions of Yang di-Pertuan Agong 2. (1) There shall be paid to the Timbalan Yang di-Pertuan Agong or other Ruler authorized by law to exercise the functions of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong during any period during which he exercises the functions of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and is not receiving the emoluments payable to him as the Ruler of his State the monthly sum of eighteen thousand ringgit: Provided that in relation to a Ruler aforesaid whose emolument payable to him as the Ruler of his State is a monthly sum in excess of eighteen thousand ringgit, the reference to “eighteen thousand ringgit” appearing immediately after the words “monthly sum of” shall be construed as a reference to the total of the sum of eighteen thousand ringgit and the excess. (2) The monthly sum payable under subsection (1) shall— (a) accrue from day to day; and (b) be payable on the last day of each month or on such other day as the Minister of Finance may from time to time determine. 6 Laws of Malaysia ACT 374 (3) In the event of there being a change of the Ruler exercising the functions of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, there shall be made such adjustment and distribution of the monthly payment payable under subsection (1) as the circumstances of the case may require. Entertainment 3. (1) There shall be paid to the Comptroller of the Household in respect of any period during which the Timbalan Yang di-Pertuan Agong or other Ruler exercises the functions of the Yang di- Pertuan Agong the monthly sum of three thousand ringgit for entertainment. (2) The monthly sum payable under subsection (1) shall accrue and be payable in the same manner as the sum payable under subsection 2(1). Other privileges 4. The Timbalan Yang di-Pertuan Agong or other Ruler exercising the functions of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong shall be entitled to the privileges specified in the Schedule. Timbalan Yang Di-Pertuan Agong (Remuneration) 7 SCHEDULE [Section 4] 1. Residence Furnished residence with staff shall be provided and maintained by the Government. 2. Transport and Traveling Two motorcars shall be provided and maintained by the Government and all traveling expenses paid by the Government. 3.
