Statute overview

About this statute

This Order sets the amount and payment method for contributions from all health insurance entities operating in Rwanda. Each health insurance entity operating in Rwanda must contribute 5% of its annual contributions. Health insurance entities must pay their contributions to the public institution in charge of community-based health insurance within 30 days after the end of their financial year. The public institution in charge of community-based health insurance may audit paid contributions if it finds certain errors. If an audit shows contributions were underpaid, the health insurance entity must pay the unpaid amount and is subject to an administrative penalty of 200% of the unpaid contributions.
