About this statute

This article introduces general provisions and says the Rwanda Capital Market Authority adopts the following directives. This article says the regulations are intended to help investors access long-term funding through regional bond issuance. These Regulations apply to corporate bodies incorporated in East Africa and to certain corporate or international bodies incorporated outside East Africa that meet the eligibility criteria. An issuer must choose a primary jurisdiction for filing the prospectus and submit the prospectus to regulators in other relevant jurisdictions for approval. This article sets evaluation fees for an issue, requires payment when the application is filed with the Primary Regulator, and requires the Primary Regulator and other regulators to share review decisions and fee shares.
