Article 4: Seat and territorial jurisdiction of the Commercial Courts The Seat of the Commercial High Court shall be in the City of Kigali. I t s t e r r i t o r i a l jurisdiction covers the entire territory of the country. Upon proposal by t h e S u p e r i o r C o u n cil o f th e t h e J u d i c i a r y , President of the S u p r eme C o u r t m a y e s t a b l i s h chambers of the Commercial High a n d C o u r t Commercial Courts and determine their respective Seats. T h e S e a t o f N y a r u g e n g e Commercial Court shall be situate in the City of Kigali. A r t i c l e 5 : P e c u n i a r y jurisdiction of the C o m m e r c i a l Courts and the Commercial High Court Commercial Courts shall hear cases in the first instance that do not exceed t h e a m o u n t o f t w e n t y m i l l i o n Rw andan francs (Rwf 20,000,000) and non monetary commercial matters. The Commercial High Court shall hear at first level cases exceeding the amount of twenty million Rw anda F r a n c s ( R w f 20,000,000). Commercial Courts and the Commercial High Court shall e q u a l l y h a v e specialised Judges o p er atin g o n a temporary bas is and governed by an e m p l o y m e n t contract. The President of the Supreme Court after consulting the Superior Council of the Judiciary shall d e t e r m i n e t h e p r o c e d u r e o f a p p o i n t i n g t h e specialised judges, their functioning and remuneration. Article 8: Support s t a f f o f C o m m e r c i a l the Courts and Commercial High Court M a t i è r e s commerciales Article 8: Support o f s t a f f C o m m e r c i a l Courts and the Commercial High Court The Commercial C o u r ts an d th e Commercial High Court shall have s u p p o r t s t a f f necessary for their s m o o t h functioning. They shall be governed b y th e G en er al Statute for Rwanda Public service.

Article 9: A r t i c l e 9 : R u k u r u rw’Ubucuruzi Ingingo ya 9 : U b u y o b o z i b w ’ I n k i k o z ’ U b u c u r u z i n ’ U r u k i k o R u k u r u rw’Ubucuruzi Article 9: Administration of the Commercial Courts and the Commercial High Court The President of th e C o mmer cial High Court and the President of the Commercial Court shall be responsible for the organisation a n d e f f e c t i v e p er f o r man ce o f th eir r es p ectiv e Courts. In that regard, they s h a l l t a k e a l l necessary decisions for the speedy trial Commerce et de la Haute Cour de Commerce Les Tribunaux de Commerce et la Haute Cour de Commerce sont dotés chacun d’un Greffier en chef et d’autres Greffiers nommés par le Président de la C o u r S u p r ême après la réussite d’un concours et approbation par le Conseil Supérieur de la Magistrature. Ils sont régis par le statut des juges et du personnel de l’ordre judiciaire. A r t i c l e 8 : P e r s o n n e l d ’ a p p u i d e s Trib u n au x d e Commerce et de la Haute Cour de Commerce Les Tribunaux de Commerce et la Haute Cour de Commerce sont d o t é s d u p e r s o n n e l nécessaire d’appui pour assurer leur b n o fonctionnement. Ce personnel est régi par le Statut abakozi ba Leta n’inzego z’imirimo ya Leta.
