Statute overview

About this statute

This article defines which mail items count as “objets de correspondance.” The weight and size limits for correspondence items are set according to the table in Annex I. Les objets visés doivent être entièrement affranchis par l’expéditeur; sinon, certains envois peuvent être refusés et les destinataires peuvent devoir payer une taxe double, sous réserve d’exceptions. L’expédition des objets visés dans la colonne 1 de l’annexe II est interdite. Small parcels and printed matter liable to customs duties may be accepted, but international small-parcel service is limited to countries that agree to provide it reciprocally or in one direction.
