Statute overview

About this statute

This article states that the Order sets the Committee’s responsibilities, membership, and functioning. The Committee must approve task allocation, coordinate and advise on aviation security activities, set security measures and procedures, and resolve issues raised by the Airport Security Committee. This article lists who makes up the Committee and identifies its chair, vice-chair, and rapporteur. The Committee must meet at least every six months, and meetings may also be held whenever necessary. The Committee needs at least two-thirds of its members present for a meeting to proceed, unless it is the second meeting. If the quorum is not met, the meeting is postponed within 15 days. The Committee also sets its own rules of procedure.
