ENACTED by the President and the National Assembly. Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Wild Animals and Birds Protection (Amendment) Act, 2024. [16th Au g u s t 2 0 2 4 ] Wild Anim als and Birds Protection (Amendment) 191 REPUBLIC OF SEYCHELLES SUPPLEMENT TO OFFICIAL GAZETTE ACT Amendment of section 3 2. The Wild Animals and Birds Protection Act, Cap 247, is amended by repealing subsection (1) of section 3 and substituting therefor with the following — “(1) Any person guilty of an offence against any regulation made under this Act shall, on conviction, be liable to a penalty prescribed by regulation or, where no such penalty is prescribed, to a fine not less than SCR25,000 and not exceeding SCR1,000,000 or to imprisonment not exceeding seven years, or to both such fine and imprisonment.”.
