Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the National Awards (Repeal) Act, 2026. [23rd March 2026] National Awards (Repeal) Bill 4 REPUBLIC OF SEYCHELLES BILL Repeal of Act 11 of 2022 2. The National Awards Act, 2022 (Act 11 of 2022) is hereby repealed. Savings and transitional 3.(1) Notwithstanding the repeal of the National Awards Act, 2022, any National Award conferred on a person under the said Act and any matter relating thereto shall be valid and effectual. (2) The Members of the National Awards Committee including the Chairperson appointed under section 6 of the repealed Act and the Secretary shall cease to hold office as Members and Secretary respectively, and shall not be entitled to claim any compensation as consequence of the repeal of the said Act.
