[8th May 2020] Supplement to Official Gazette 231 NOTARIES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2020 (Act 16 of 2020) I assent Danny Faure President 8th May, 2020 AN ACT to amend the Notaries Act (Cap 149), to increase the duration of leave of absence from function of office that may be taken by Notaries without requiring the permission of the President. ENACTED by the President and the National Assembly. Short title 1. This Bill may be cited as the Notaries (Amendment) Act, 2020. 232 Supplement to Official Gazette [8th May 2020] 2. The Notaries Act is hereby amended in section 33 Amendment of section 33 by repealing the words “3 days” and substituting therefor the words “31 days”.
