ENACTED by the President and the National Assembly. Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Truth, Reconciliation and National Unity Commission (Amendment) Act, 2022, and amends the Truth, Reconciliation and National Unity Commission Act, 2018 (“the principal Act”). [30th Sep t e m b e r 2 0 2 2 ] Truth , Reconciliation and National Unity 465 Commission (Amendment) Act REPUBLIC OF SEYCHELLES SUPPLEMENT TO OFFICIAL GAZETTE ACT Amendment of section 11 2. Section 11(2) of the principal Act is amended by repealing the words “and shall submit its final report within three months after it has completed its inquiries”. Amendment of section 14 3.(1) Section 14(1) of the principal Act is amended by repealing the words “and shall end upon the delivery to the President of its final report”. (2) Section 14(2) of the principal Act shall be substituted for the following — “(2) The mandate of the Commission shall come to an end on 31 December, 2022, or on the date on which the Commission delivers its final report to the President of the Republic of Seychelles, whichever is the earlier.” Validity of decisions 4. Any action or decision taken by the Commission between 9 August 2022 and the date on which this Act commences shall be valid and deemed to have been properly made under the principal Act as if the mandate of the Commission had been extended as from 9 August 2022.
