ENACTED by the President and the National Assembly. Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Prevention of Terrorism (Amendment) Act, 2022. [30th Sept e m b e r 2 0 2 2 ] Preve n tion of Terrorism (Amendment) Act 469 REPUBLIC OF SEYCHELLES SUPPLEMENT TO OFFICIAL GAZETTE ACT Amendment of section 20E (Act 8 of 2021) Cap.179 2. Section 20E of the Prevention of Terrorism Act Cap.179 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act) is hereby amended in — (a) subsection (3) by the insertion of the words “without delay” after the word “communicated”; (b) subsection (4) by the insertion of the words “or other actions taken in compliance with the requirements of the relevant UNSCRs, including attempted transactions” after “subsection (1)”. Amendment of section 20H (Act 8 of 2021) Cap.179 3. Section 20H is amended by the repeal of subsection (1) and substituted by — “20H.(1) Where a person living outside Seychelles has been designated by the relevant UN Sanctions Committee, the Minister shall, by Order published in the Gazette, prohibit — (a) all persons in Seychelles (including non- Seychellois); (b) all citizens of Seychelles residing outside Seychelles; from making funds available to, or for the use or benefit of, the first mentioned person who shall be named in the Order or be identified by reference to a description of persons set out in the Order.” I certify that this is a correct copy of the Bill which was passed by the National Assembly on 28th September, 2022.
