Short title 1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Administrator (Tristan da Cunha) Ordinance, 1948. Administrator 2. The Administrator appointed by the Governor under section 212 of the Constitution shall administer the affairs of Tristan da Cunha. Duties and Powers of Administrator 3. (1) The Administrator must perform all such duties as the Governor from time to time directs. (2) If any office is created by a written law having the force of law in Tristan da Cunha, the Administrator is deemed to have been appointed to that office and to have all the rights, powers, privileges and immunities enjoyed by the holder of the office, and must perform the duties of the office, until such time as the Governor appoints some other person to that office. 1 Under section 10 of the Revised Edition of the Laws Ordinance, 1999 this text is authoritative and is the sole authentic edition in respect of the law contained in it as at 1 November 2017. ____________________________
