Short title 1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Law Officers Ordinance, 2013. Attorney General and Solicitor General 2. (1) Any function of the Attorney General may be exercised by the Solicitor General, except that the Solicitor General does not, in his or her capacity as such, take the seat of the Attorney General in the Executive Council or the Legislative Council. (2) Anything done by or in relation to the Solicitor General in the exercise of or in connection with a function of the Attorney General has effect as if done by or in relation to the Attorney General. (3) The validity of anything done in relation to the Attorney General, or done by or in relation to the Solicitor General, is not affected by a vacancy in the office of Attorney General.
