This Ordinance may be cited as the Price Control (Tristan da Cunha) Ordinance, 1968. Interpretation 2. Power of Administrator to control prices 3. (1) The Administrator may from time to time, by order, fix maximum prices for the sale of foodstuffs which are produced in Tristan da Cunha. (2) Lists of maximum prices fixed under subsection (1) of this section must be displayed at such places in Tristan da Cunha as the Administrator may consider necessary to bring such prices to the notice of the public, and such prices, when so displayed, are deemed to be sufficient notice of them to all persons affected by them. Offences 4. (1) A person who sells any price-controlled food-stuff at a price which exceeds the maximum price fixed for such foodstuff commits an offence. Penalty: A fine of £20 on the first conviction and a fine of £50 on the second or subsequent conviction. (2) A person who purchases or offers to purchase any price-controlled foodstuff at a price which exceeds the maximum price fixed for such foodstuff commits an offence.
