This section repeals the laws listed in Schedule A, and also repeals certain still-operative laws not listed in Schedule A to the extent they conflict with or refer to matters covered by laws in Schedule B. Schedule B stays in force only under its issue conditions and for the shorter of its original period or six months from this Act’s commencement. Certain boards, councils, or bodies created under repealed laws must cease at commencement, and their members are not entitled to further remuneration or allowances. This Act is named the Shipping and Civil Aviation Laws Rationalisation Act, 1994, and it starts on a date fixed by the President by proclamation in the Gazette.
