About this statute

This section defines key terms used in the Act and says the Act includes the regulations. A juristic person called Electronic Communications Security (Pty) Ltd is established. The Minister must arrange Comsec’s incorporation, and the Registrar of Companies must register the incorporation documents and register Comsec as a private company. Comsec can be exempted from part of the Companies Act if the Minister of Trade and Industry issues a declaration under section 6.
