Statute overview

About this statute

This section amends the Act’s definitions and deletes several definitions. This section changes how the Commission is made up and how some members are appointed or elected. This section substitutes a new section for section 5 of the principal Act. A board member may resign by giving the Chairperson at least three months’ written notice; the Chairperson may accept a shorter notice period if the Minister approves. The Chairperson may grant leave to the Deputy Chairperson, excluding vacation leave, and may allow a part-time Commission member to miss Commission meetings.
