About this statute

This section gives the Act’s short title and says it must be read together with the Appropriation Act 2003. Terms used in this Act are given the meanings set out in the Public Finance Act, 2001. The Treasury may issue and apply 87,250,000,000 shillings from the Consolidated Fund for the year ending 30 June 2004. The sum granted by section 3 must be used for the purposes and amounts listed in the Schedule. The Minister may borrow up to Shs 87,250,000,000 on specified terms, and the money must be repaid by 31 October 2004.
