Statute overview

About this statute

The Board may create committees, appoint members to them, and delegate functions or powers, but some powers are excluded from delegation. A person is not qualified to be appointed to the Board or Committee if their office is likely to let them exert undue influence on matters the Corporation is responsible for. Board members and Corporation employees must disclose conflicts of interest immediately, stop taking part in the matter, and must not vote; serious conflicts can require resignation. The Chairman and members of the Board are to be paid fees and remuneration set by their appointment letters or the relevant authority. The Board may establish, set, and review rates and charges, and the Corporation must publish the Board’s determined rates, tariffs, and charges in the Gazette by order.
