Statute overview

About this statute

These Rules may be cited as the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (Bundle Tariffs, Promotions and Special Offers) Rules, 2021. This section defines key terms used in the instrument, including Act, Authority, basic tariff, bundle services, bundle tariff, promotion and special offer, service provider, subscriber, and tariffs. A service provider must not offer bundle services without Authority approval, and must publish approved bundle information and keep tariffs within the Authority’s price limits. Service providers may not keep more than 50 bundles in the market at once, except international and roaming bundles, and they must keep approved bundles unchanged for 3 months and use clear bundle terms and conditions. If a service provider changes approved bundle services, those changes must not affect existing subscribers who already bought the bundle services.
