Statute overview

About this statute

This section gives the short title for the Rules and says they must be read together with the 2004 principal Rules. This section amends the Third Schedules by replacing some veterinary facility definitions and adding new ones. A veterinary centre must meet minimum establishment requirements, including structural facilities and a registered enrolled paraprofessional or enlisted paraprofessional assistant. A veterinary centre must include minimum structural facilities such as a designated room, washable walls and floor, ventilation and lighting, waste disposal or an incinerator, and a toilet. A veterinary centre must have at least a registered veterinarian, paraprofessional assistants, and other appropriate supporting staff.
