Statute overview

About this statute

These Regulations may be cited as the Transport Licensing (Amendment) Regulations, 2024, and they are to be read together with the principal Transport Licensing (Goods Carrying Vehicle) Regulations, 2020. This provision amends vehicle-related definitions by adding “electric” to one term and adding definitions for “authorized agent” and “electric vehicle”. This provision amends regulation 7 of the principal Regulations by adding “or authorized agent” after “Authority” in three subregulations. This provision amends the principal Regulations by changing a period from one year to two years and adding a new regulation 16. The principal Regulations are amended by adding a new provision immediately after regulation 15, titled “Restriction to cabotage”.
