The Tunduru Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (“TUNDURU WSSA”) Adjustment for Water Supply and Sanitation Services) Order, 2020

1. This Order shall be cited as the Tunduru Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (“Tunduru WSSA”) (Tariff Adjustment for Water Supply and Sanitation Services) Order, 2020.

2. Tunduru WSSA tariffs and charges are hereby adjusted as specified in the First Schedule. Conditions

3. The approved tariff shall be subject to the following conditions: (a) on or before 31stMay 2020, Tunduru WSSA shall submit a revised Business Plan (2019/20-2021/22) that incorporates the approved tariffs and action plan for implementation of conditions of this Order; (b) Tunduru WSSA shall implement the projects as set out in the Second Schedule by using funds generated from the approved tariffs; (c) Tunduru WSSA shall attain key performance indicators as shown in the Third Schedule; (d) Tunduru WSSA shall adhere to the section 43 of the EWURA Act, and rule 6 of the EWURA (Fees and Levies Collection Procedure) Rules; Cap. 414 GN.No.193 of 2010 1 Tunduru Water Supply and Sanitation Authority ("Tunduru Wssa") (Tariff Adjustment for Water Supply and Sanitation Services) GN. No 287 (contd.) Cap. 418 (e) on or before 30th April, 2020, Tunduru WSSA shall provide evidence to EWURA that it has notified its customers of the new tariff order and it has conducted an intensive awareness to its customers including Government, political and religious representatives found in their area of services on the implementation of the new tariff Order; (f) Tunduru WSSA shall cause its financial reports to be audited by Controller and Auditor General (CAG) or any authorized person in accordance with section 33 (1) of the Public Audit Act and submitting copies of the audited financial statements to EWURA; (g) Tunduru WSSA shall ensure that water supplied to customers is treated; (h) before the 30th June, 2022, Tunduru WSSA shall acquire land for establishment of sewage treatment infrastructure; (i) Tunduru WSSA shall, on annual basis as part of its annual perfomance report, submit to EWURA reports on the implementation of each of the Tariff Order conditions and each cost item of the revenue requirement as set out in the Fourth Schedule; and (j) Tunduru WSSA shall continue to provide EWURA with information about its financial and operating condition in accordance with the requirements of EWURA, such information shall be used by EWURA to evaluate Tunduru WSSA's performance in comparison with other Water Supply and Sanitation Authorities and the improvement of its performance over the reasonableness of all future requests for tariff adjustment. in evaluating time or Disapplication of Tariff Order No. 11-014 of 1st June, 2011
