(b) At the request of the superintendent, to the extent permitted by applicable state or federal law, each bank holding company that controls an Alabama state bank or an Alabama bank holding company, or the home state regulator of such bank or company, shall provide to the superintendent copies of the reports of examination of the company or any Alabama state bank or Alabama bank holding company. (c) The superintendent may examine an Alabama bank holding company whenever the superintendent has reason to believe that the company is not being operated in compliance with the laws of this state or in accordance with safe and sound banking practices.
