11-633 - Warrants receivable for debt or taxes due county 11-633 . Warrants receivable for debt or taxes due county Warrants issued by the board shall be receivable in payment of debts to the county, and taxes assessed against property in the county. Upon tender of a warrant in payment of a debt or tax, the county treasurer shall, if the warrant is less than the amount of the debt or tax, and is accompanied by sufficient money to make up the full amount of the debt or tax, credit the amount of the warrant upon the debt or tax. If the amount of the warrant is greater than the amount of the debt or tax, he shall mark the debt or tax paid, and endorse the amount thereof upon the back of the warrant as a partial payment thereof. Only the person named as payee in the warrant may use it in payment of a debt or tax.
