Florida Statutes § 11.52 — Implementation of enacted legislation.

111.52 Implementation of enacted legislation.—Each state agency shall provide the Legislature and the Executive Office of the Governor with information about the status of implementation of recently enacted legislation. The implementation status must be provided 90 days following the effective date of the legislation and updated each August 1 thereafter until all provisions of the legislation have been fully implemented. The implementation status report must include, at a minimum, for each enacted legislation, the actions or steps taken to implement the legislation and planned actions or steps for implementation, such as any rules proposed for implementation, any procurements required, any contract executed to assist the agency in the implementation, any contracts executed to implement or administer the legislation, programs started, offices established, or other organization administrative changes made including personnel changes, or federal waivers requested; any expenditures made directly related to the implementation; and any impediments or delays in implementation, including, but not limited to, challenges of administrative rules. No later than 14 days prior to the next regular legislative session, the state agency shall provide an update of any changes to the implementation status, notify the Legislature of any protests of rulemaking or other communications regarding the implementation of the legislation and the status of any litigation related to the legislation, and identify any policy issues that need to be resolved by the Legislature to ensure timely and effective implementation of the legislation. This section expires July 1, 2026.
