Florida Statutes § 103.092 — Affiliated party committees.

103.092 Affiliated party committees.—(1) For purposes of this section, the term “leader” means the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, or the minority leader of either house of the Legislature, until a person is designated by a political party conference of members of either house to succeed to any such position, at which time the designee becomes the leader for purposes of this section. (2) The leader of each political party conference of the House of Representatives and the Senate may establish a separate, affiliated party committee to support the election of candidates of the leader’s political party. The affiliated party committee is subject to the same provisions of chapter 106 as a political party. (3) Each affiliated party committee shall:(a) Adopt bylaws to include, at a minimum, the designation of a treasurer. (b) Conduct campaigns for candidates who are members of the leader’s political party. (c) Establish an account. (d) Raise and expend funds. Such funds may not be expended or committed to be expended except when authorized by the leader of the affiliated party committee.
