(a) Members of the commission shall be appointed by the governor on a bipartisan basis subject to section 26-34. (d) Vacancies among the members, filled by the governor, shall serve for the remainder of the term. (e) The members shall serve without compensation, but shall be reimbursed their necessary and reasonable expenses incurred in the performance of their duties, including travel expenses.
