Iowa Code § 123.99 - False statements

A person commits a simple misdemeanor if the person, for the purpose of procuring the shipment, transportation, or conveyance of any alcoholic liquor, wine, or beer within this state in violation of this chapter, does any of the following: 1. Makes to any person, company, corporation, or common carrier, or to any agent thereof, any false statements as to the character or contents of any box, barrel, or other vessel or package containing such alcoholic liquor, wine, or beer. 2. Refuses to give correct and truthful information as to the contents of any such box, barrel, or other vessel or package so sought to be transported or conveyed. 3. Falsely labels, brands, or marks a box, barrel, or other vessel or package in order to conceal the fact that the same contains alcoholic liquor, wine, or beer. 4. By any device or concealment procures or attempts to procure the conveyance or transportation of alcoholic liquor, wine, or beer.
