§121.5. Application containing false information or misrepresentations It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly submit an application for a financial institution charter, license, registration, or notification, or any other document to the commissioner which contains false information or misrepresentations regarding any applicant's personal or business background information, for the purpose of deceiving the commissioner into granting a charter, license, registration, or notification to the applicant. Any person who violates this Section is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction may be fined not less than one thousand dollars nor more than two thousand five hundred dollars, or sentenced to imprisonment not exceeding one year, or both.
