TCA § 41-2-130 — Employment of prisoners in another county

The county board of commissioners, or county legislative body if there is no county board of commissioners, may, by order, authorize the warden, superintendent or other person in charge of the workhouse to whom the prisoner is committed to arrange with another warden, superintendent or other person in charge of a workhouse for the employment of the prisoner in the other's county and, while so employed, to be in the other's custody but in other respects to be and continue subject to the commitment. In like manner, the county legislative body may authorize the sheriff to so arrange with the sheriff of another county, in the case of jail prisoners, for employment of any such prisoner in the other's county, to be in that sheriff's custody while so employed but in all other respects to be and continue subject to the commitment.
