Agriculture Code § 13.256

Sec. 13.256. BOND. Each public weigher shall execute a bond in accordance with rules adopted by the department. The bond must be conditioned on the accurate weight or measure of a commodity being reflected on the certificate issued by the public weigher, on the protection of a commodity that the public weigher is requested to weigh or measure, and on compliance with all laws and rules governing public weighers. The bond is not void on first recovery. A person injured by the public weigher may sue on the bond. Acts 1981, 67th Leg., p. 1040, ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1981.
