About this statute

This is the preamble/title of a Kosovo law on international judicial cooperation in criminal matters. This article says the law sets the conditions and procedure for international legal assistance in criminal matters, unless an international agreement says otherwise or there is no such agreement. Ky nen jep perkufizimet kryesore per ndihmen juridike nderkombetare ne ceshtjet penale, shtetin lutes dhe te lutura, Ministrine, organin kompetent, organet gjyqesore, INTERPOL-in, vendimet gjyqesore, denimin, sanksionin dhe ekstradimin. International legal assistance requests must be sent through the Ministry between foreign and domestic judicial authorities. If a request arrives directly or via Interpol electronically, the local court must help if the requesting state sends the original request and documents within 18 days. Foreign-language requests must include certified Albanian and Serbian translations; certified English translations may be accepted by reciprocity. A person may be extradited for criminal prosecution or to serve a sentence, but citizens of Kosovo must not be extradited unless an international agreement or international law provides otherwise.
