About this statute

This section gives the Act’s short title and says it is to be read together with the principal Act. This Act is deemed to have begun operating on 1 July 1988. Section four of the principal Act is repealed and replaced. This section sets annual allowances payable to specified parliamentary and party officeholders, including the Secretary-General, Speaker, elected and nominated National Assembly members, and certain Central Committee members, ministers, and junior ministers.
