Central Committee Members', Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices (Emoluments) (Amendment) Act, 1988

1. This Act may be cited as the Central Committee Members', Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices (Emoluments) (Amendment) Act, 1988, and shall bo read as one with the Contra! Committee Members', Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices (Emoluments) Act, 1981, in this Act referred to as the principal Act.

2. This Act shall be deemed to have come in operation on the 1st July, 1988.

3. Section four of the principal Act is repealed and the following is substituted therefor:

4. (1) There shall be paid to the Secretary-General of the Party an allowance of K2,722 per year .. (2) There shall be paid to the Speaker of the Nationai Assembly an 1>llow1>nce of K5,832 per year in liou of a Constituency allowance. '(3) There shall be paid to an elected Member of tho National Assembly a Constituency allowance as follow�: (a.) in the ce.se of a Member returned by a (;onstituencv specified in Part I of the Second Schedule, K5,332 per year; and (b) in the case of a Member returned by a Constituency specified in Part II of tho Second Schedule K2,916. (4) There shall be paid to a nominated Member of the National Assembly who is not a Member of the Central Committee of the Party, an allowance of K2,041 par year in lieu of a Con:-:tituency allowance. (6) There shall be paid to a Member of the Central Committee of the P11rty, a Minister and Junior l\Iinister­ (a) an electricity allowance of Kl,200 per ye11r; and (b) a water allowance of K720 per year. 4. Subsection (1) of section five is amended- (a) in paragraph (a) by the deletion of "Kl4,526 " and the substitution therefor of "K19,610 "; and (b) in.paragraph (b) by the deletion of "K7,800" and the substitution therefor of "Kl0,530 ". Amendment of Firat Sohedulu°

5.
