Air Passenger Service Charge (Amendment) Act, 1989

1. 'This Act rnay be cited a'> the Air Passcn�er Service Char11e (Amendment) Act, 198fl, and shall be read a<, one with the Air Passenger Service Act. in this Act referred to as the principal A<'t. X11or-t title U.11. 74i

2. Sc<·ti(,n 2 of the principal Al't is amended b_y the insertion in the appropriate pla<'e of the fo:lowing definitions: Awcaduient, of section 2 "Company" means the National Airports Corporation Ljmited, a Company lirnired b) shares and registered under the Companies An. "designated airp<;rt •· shall have the meaning a�si�ned to it under section two of the Aviation Act.

3. Section 3 of the principal Act is amended - (a) in subsection (1), by the insertion after "embarks on an aircraft at an airport" of" othl!I' ca:m a designated airport, " ; and (l.) by the deletion of sub!>ection (2) and the substitution therefor of the following subset·tlon: Ca,,. 740 Arocudmeut of Section 8 (2) '£he charge :it an airport, othi!r than a designated airport, shall be a debt due to the Government and shall be paid to the collection agent prior to embarkation.
