4. (1) There shall be paid an allowance of K7,584 per Constltueooy ·· --e year in lieu of a constituency allowance to- (a) the Secretary-General of the Party; (b) the Secretary ,,fStalc fur JJcfc.uuc anrl l-3ecurity; (r) the Prime 11finister; :mn (d) the Speaker. and other allowanoes (2) There shall be paid to an elected member of the National Assembly a constituency allowanre a� follows: (a) in the case of a member returned by a consti­ tuency specified in Part 1 of the Second Schedule, K7,584 per year; and (b) in the case of a member returned bv a consti­ tuency specified in Prut II of the Second Schedule, -, .... , -, .... ..AJl,.v, • &lu. (4) There �hall be paid to a member of the Central Committee other than the Secretary-General of the Party, the Secretary of State for Defence and Security and the Prime Minister an allowance of K3,540 per year in lieu of a constituenc-y allowance. (5) There shall be paid to a member of the Central Committee of the Party, a l\finister an<l Junior Minister- (a) an electricity allowance ofKl,200 per year; and (b) a water allowance ofK720 per year. 3. Subsection ( l) of section five is amendecl- (a) in paragraph (a) by the deletion of" Kl 9,610 " and the­ substitution therefor of" K25,476 "; and (b) in paragraph (b) by the deletion of" Kl0,530" and the substitution therefor of" Kl3,650 ". Amendment of First Schedule

4. The First Schedule to the principal Act is repealed and the First Schedule set out in the Appendix hereto is substituted therefor.
