(1) This Act may be cited a<; the Belling Control (Amend­ ment) Act, 1994, and shall be read as one wilh Lhe Betting Control Act, in this Act referred to as the principal Act (2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 29th January, 1994. 2. The principal Act is amended by the repeal of section fourteen and the substitution therefor of the followii:ig section: 14. Every bookmaker licensed under this Act shall be required to pay at the time of the issue of his licence a fee of one hundred thousand kwacha in the case of a first issue of a licence and fifty thousand kwacha in the case of each renewal thereof.
