Control of Goods (Price Control) (Motor Spare Parts Prices) Order, 1981

1. Tltis Order may be cited as the Control of Goods (Price Control) (Motor Spare Parts Prices) Order, 1981. ·

2. In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires- " dea.Ier " means any importer, wholesaler or retailer of motor spare parts; " motor " means any motor vehicle, tractor, trailer and includes any mechanically propelled carriage or conveyance of any kind used on the road; '' spare part" means any replacement part or assembly used on a motor whether locally manufactured or imported but does not inoludo tyres and tubes; " landed cost " in relation to any imported motor spare parts means the ascertainable cost incurred in import­ · ing the goods into Zambia and includes: (a) tho free-on-board price of motor spare parts at the port of shipment; (b) the freight from the port of shipment to the port of discharge; ( c) actual marine and transhipment insurance from the warehouse at the port of shipment to the warehouse of the importer; (d) port charges; (e) bank charges, bank commissions, import licence fee, buying charges and letter of credit charges; (j) customs duty and sales tax; Gopie., of this Statutory Instrument can ba obtained from tha Governmene Printer, P.O. 3. The maximum retail price of any imported motor spare part shall be- (a) in the case of spare parts specified in the Schedule, . . th� landed cost plus fifty per centum of the mark-up thereon; . . . (b) in the case of spare parts not specified in the Schedule hereto, the landed cost plus seventy-five per centum of the mark-up thereon.

4. The maxim�m retail price of'any' locally manufactured spare.parts shall. )le the price approved by the Price Controller after submission:of c!?st and other relevant documents. ·5; ·•No person shall sell;·offer or'expose for sale any'motor spare parts at a ·price ,exceeding the ·maximum prices computed in accordance w.ith the proyisions of paragraphs 3 and f. . . . 6.
